Currently Adam and I reside in Darjeeling. We just finished the Singalila Ridge trek through the West Bengal hills, where we hiked between villages, staying at elevations spanning between 6,000 and 12,000 feet. If you want to learn why there is a picture of a dog family starting this section of our blog, please continue. Posted by Hello

"Gorkey" the dog. She followed us 18Km, from Gorkhey (hence her name) to Shri Khola. We kept expecting her to turn back, esspecially at times when she would dissapear. But she was actually taking short cuts on a path she knew very well and always returned to our side. We stayed the night in Shri Khola and herd her and another dog howling at eachother across the river. She was waiting for us in the morning, and continued to trek along with us until we got to a lodge where her male friend and a puppy came bursting out the door to meet her. The puppy was identical to Gorkey. And oddly enough that is how are trek ended. Posted by Hello
