There should be a magnificent lake here, that would have reached the stairs of these buildings but it is just a puddle now. One man we met said that in the 30 years he had lived in Udaipur he had never seen the shortage of water this bad. It was still amazing to watch all the cows and camels grazing, playing and mating (not the cows with camels) where the lake would have been.
